Health & Safety Compliance Advisor – Central/North London – Health & Safety Compliance/Food – £30,000-£35,000 with a company car

A large FM client of mine is recruiting for a Safety Executive to join their team. This is a regional role which would ideally suit someone based in North London as the geographic area covered by the Health & Safety Executive role is: Central/ North London, Essex and Suffolk.

As Safety Executive the purpose of this role is to monitor, advise and guide upon compliance against health and safety and food safety policies and procedures as necessary, either through routine programmed auditing, following incidents and accidents or other reactive issues. This role would suit either an environmental health graduate with some Health and Safety & experience or someone from local authority however all applicants that have the skills below will be reviewed. This is a really varied role, no two days are the same, you will work across all our segments and experience a wide variety of work from completing planned Health and Safety & audits, managing reactive work and supporting site investigations to managing supply change audits and assisting with mobilisations.

The sites you will be visiting are all varied; from hospitals and libraries, to football stadiums and large manufacturing environments. You will have a strong understanding of Health & Safety Compliance and Food Safety, as this role will be a 50/50 split between the 2 areas interest in both is essential. You will be travelling 3-4 days of the week with the occasional requirement to stay overnight and working 1-2 days from home.

Skills and Qualifications

Degree in Environmental Health or Health & Safety (or similar)
Experience in Health & Safety Compliance (Audit Qualification Desired)
Full UK driving licence
Flexibility to travel
