Stride is an award winning Division within the STR Group, recruiting for White collar and technical roles within the water Industry. Working with one of the biggest names in the industry, wanting to expand their team in the midlands.

Our client Has a need for an experienced Quantity Surveyor, who will have an extensive background within the water industry. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager and Project manager, the role provide a service covering all contractual and financial aspects of assigned projects.

Direction of allocated assigned quantity surveyors.

To receive direction from Commercial manager, on administrative, contractual, and financial matters.

Responsibilities:

To advise Project managers, on contractual, value, cost, and all problems with contract time.

To help and prepare for contractual claims.

To cost variations, and any other extra work with in accordance with company and client Requirements.

To prepare estimates of valuations, and make sure payments are made in accordance with contract conditions.

Monitor sub-contractors accounts and advise project managers on claims and valuations.

To advise purchasing department on terms and conditions of sub-contractors.

Notify project managers of any deviation of time and cost.

To ensure a standard of quality of cost reporting, analysing and forecasting of project performance for company and client
management

Qualifications:

A formal qualification in Quantity Surveying (or other relevant
discipline).
Demonstrable relevant experience in a similar role.

Performance Measures:

Satisfactory settlement of final account.

Maintenance of good relationships with Purchasers, Engineers and their respective staffs.

The effectiveness of cost and cash control techniques used with subcontractors.

The implementation and development of suitable cost and cash control procedures for differing Contract Conditions.

The effectiveness of cost and cash control techniques and procedures.
