Stride is an award winning Division within the STR Group, recruiting for White collar and technical roles within the water Industry. Working with one of the biggest names in the industry, wanting to expand their team in the South West Region

Our client has a need for an experienced Principle Electrical Engineer, who will manage the delivery and technical content of Projects to be able to achieve target deadlines, cost and quality targets, and to be able to report both internally and externally to clients and Senior Management.

The right candidate will be able to play a key role within the management of client relationships for the development of opportunities and repeat of works.

This role being a contract position will only suit an experienced professional Electrical Engineer with an extensive background in the water industry.


To be able to own the Project Management plan.

Lead the preparation of the scope of services, for example documents with post tender negotiations.

To make sure the Project brief is clarified, and clear to understand, with key milestones, and deliverables.

Become the designers Project Manager or Technical authority, which will include direct communication with the client.

Clear understanding of the contractual arrangements for the projects.

Review and understand the design inputs in consultation.


Recognised academic qualifications, Degree, HND, HNC or Equivalent.

Recognised professional qualification and membership of appropriate Bodies.

Chartered Engineer, or working towards chartership.

Experience Required:

Team working skills, with a good relationship with all levels of organisation, clients and contractors.

Knowledge and experience of the water industry

Knowledge and experience in the role of Designer.

Familiarity with UK legislation.

Familiarity with Relevant Software packages, including MS Project, Word, Excel, also the internal financial management system BST or similar tool
