HS&E Business Partner (HR, Finance) – Swindon – £33,000 – Manufacturing

Due to significant growth of the Health, Safety and Environment department, a superb opportunity has arisen to join a world leading automotive manufacturer as HS&E Committees and Indirects Business Partner on a permanent basis.

Joining a team of 3 managers and 18 HS&E Coordinators, this role is essential establishing a business partnering function in support of the indirect divisions due to the change in expectation and requirements across the organisation. This role will incorporate existing coordination of the HS&E committees across site, and support for the HS&E Representatives as well as internal control of departments cost & budgeting.
The successful applicant will be required to do occasional overtime.

Main responsibilities:

Coordinate the HS&E committee activities at company and divisional level, supporting the other business partners.
Fulfil business partner role for the indirect departments and fully support the indirect department HS&E representatives. Champion the effective utilisation of HS&E representatives in those areas
Act as liaison between indirect department management and the HS&E department for the purposes of risk assessment, accident investigation, audits, inspections and other legal requirements
Provide guidance and advice on HS&E matters to indirect department associates as part of project development, investigations or corrective and preventative action
Promote and communicate the introduction and ongoing use of the HS&E IT system across the indirect departments and divisions
Coordinate effective control of HS&E department budgets and monthly spend. IT Systems admin for HS&E department. Admin / moderator for HS&E SharePoint platform for HS&E Representatives
Support wider HS&E departmental responsibilities including delivery of inspections, safety assurance visits and internal HS&E audits

To be considered for the position of HS&E Committees and Indirects Business Partner you must:

Experience managing cost budget setting
Background in Health, Safety and Environment
Broad Understanding of HS&E Legislation
Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with senior stakeholder
NEBOSH (Certificate level) in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
