Hourly Pay rate: £16.75 – £19.71 (PAYE) or £21.12 – £24.85 (Ltd Co or Umbrella)

Contract Type:
12 Weeks Temporary – Permanent x1
12 Weeks Temporary x1
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
Work Pattern: Monday Friday, 09:00am 05:00pm

DBS: Not Required
Own Car Required: Desirable
Driving Licence Required: Desirable

Travelling: Travelling involved – 2 to 3 times a week depending on cases.
Locations to cover: Areas in London, Bromley, Birmingham etc.
Expenses: Travel expenses can be claimed
Parking: No parking on site

Start Date: Must be available to start immediately if offered
Interview Date: Week commencing Monday 12th February 2018
Interview Format: Face to face Competency based questions
Interview Location: Borehamwood, WD6

Two new opportunities have become available with our client for an Employee Relations Advisor. This is a Specialist ER Case Management role; candidates will be expected to confidently deal with employee relation issues. Candidates must be experienced enough to hit the ground running, must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidates will be providing advice over the phone, will write and assist managers in writing outcome letters. Candidates must be flexible to travel to sit in hearings. CIPD qualification is also desirable.
Initial Priorities:
Management of existing and new cases disciplinary, grievance and performance
Familiarisation with existing and new policy and procedure for our clients group companies
Assess and manage on going and potential sickness absence cases
Awareness of existing maternity/paternity leave cases

Experience and pre-qualification criteria:

Good standard of secondary education
CIPD qualification
An appreciation of contemporary best practice in employee relations.
Excellent knowledge of current employment legislation and case law.
Good relationship building and influencing skills.
Experience of advising and managing disciplinary, capability, grievance issues within an operational HR environment
Experience of supporting line managers in managing absence related issues, including long term sick and stress related cases.
The self-confidence to give appropriate advice to line managers, even when the content is unwelcome.
Well organised, systematic with good attention to detail
A pragmatic, commercial approach and ability to problem solve
