Contract Manager – Housing Maintenance – Swindon, Bristol and Oxfordshire – £42,186, plus £4600 Car Allowance, Permanent
A client of mine is looking to recruit a Contract Manager to work within the West Region of their business. You will be managing contracts within the property services part of the company, managing all repairs, and maintenance packages throughout the client’s property portfolio including housing associations, local authorities, schools and private landlords. You will be a manager to a team of trades and admin support staff to ensure that the planned maintenance and other contracts are delivered within allocated time frames and on budget to their high standards.
You will provide effective line management to contract supervisors, ensuring that the best use is made of their resources. In addition to this you will ensure a consistent and quality service is delivered in line with contract requirements and the business plan and maintain effective communication links between property care and its clients; including attendance at contract, progress meetings, and tenant’s forums as required. You will also manage all aspects of site safety, ensuring that works are carried out are in compliance with Building Regulations, Guidance Notes, and HSE requirements.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have experience in building or construction contract management, effective budgetary management skills and ideally hold a HNC in building related studies (or an equivalent qualification).
You should have experience of managing staff directly employed staff and have strong interpersonal, communication and IT skills. You will be required to travel as part of he role (which may include some flexibility with working hours), have your own vehicle and hold a full UK driving licence.
