Stride is an award winning Division within the STR Group, recruiting for White collar and technical roles within the water Industry. Working with an ever growing specialist contractor with in the industry, wanting to expand their Commercial team in Bedfordshire.

Our client Has a need for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager, who will have an extensive background within the water industry preferably with Clean Water Experience . Reporting directly to the Delivery Director and Senior Commercial Manager, where you will be responsible for receiving, processing and submitting framework and bespoke Pricing schedules.

You will also be responsible as Commercial Manager, to process and submit tenders, manager all commercial aspects of projects, and to assist in the month ending accountancy Processes for the company.


You will be responsible for carrying out Financial Negotiations as required in order to secure client contracts.

To be able to form close working relationships with existing clients to identify their exact Requirements and ensure that pricing schedules allow for the delivery of projects that accurately meet their expectations.

Undertake site visits in order to understand the full scope of works.

Work closely with the delivery team to formulate budgets for schemes.

To assist in the preparation of labour pricing schedules, under the PayGo pricing system and for subcontractors.

Maintain order book turnover and gross margin projections at all times. and liaise with the Delivery Director.

Essential Skills/Experience:

Experience with NEC Framework contracts.

Ability to work alone and use own initiative.

Work Flexibility in line with business requirements.

Possess strong IT Skills in particular MS Excel.

Full clean UK driving licence.


Experience in water industry, ideally clean water.

Civils or waterproofing/concrete repair background.

A recognised chartered surveyors Qualification.
