We currently have a great opportunity for an experienced Multi Skilled Carpenter to join our clients Property Care Team to work in the Plymouth area.
You’ll complete Carpentry repairs and maintenance packages to our clients companies and other housing associations, local authorities, schools and private landlords within occupied and void properties.
RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY DUTIES:
Cutting and shaping timber for floorboards, skirting boards and window frames
Making and assembling doors, window frames, staircases and fitted furniture
Installing skirting boards, door linings, doors, cupboards and shelving as well as door handles and locks (second fixings and have the ability to conduct first fixes)
Building temporary supports for concrete that is setting
Making and fitting interiors for a wide range of properties
Installing single and double glazing units
Kitchen fitting
As well as the above key duties, as a Multi Skilled Carpenter you’ll be expected to have demonstrable experience in one or more additional trades. These possible trades are; Plumbing, Bricklaying, Tiling, Painting and Decorating, Plastering, Roofing, Ground work and Fencing.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
You should have a minimum of NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry and have demonstrable experience in all aspects of carpentry, joinery, and ironmongery. You will have experience of working in occupied premises and be able to demonstrate good customer care skills.
The ability to use mobile technology such as iPad or PDA is essential. A current CSCS card is desirable.
This is a full time role, working 40 Hours per week, with the opportunity to supplement your salary through call out and overtime when required. A van, tool allowance, iPad, uniform and PPE will also be provided along with great benefits including 25 days paid holiday and a £450 flexible benefit pot.
Due to the requirement to travel within this role, you must hold a full and current driving licence that is acceptable to our insurers and have the ability to drive a company van.
